Cancer risk linked to radiation levels in fish species after Fukushima

Two and a half years after  Fukushima, many fish species have highly elevated amounts of radioactive cesium from the stricken plant, including species that Japan exports to Canada, according to the Japanese Fisheries Agency’s tests on fish catches.

And Japanese fish and seafood exports to Canada have grown significantly since Fukushima, with $24 million in exports in 2012, up 20 percent from $20 million in 2010, according to Statistics Canada data.

In July this year, a sea bass caught in Japan had 1,000 becquerels per kilogram of radioactive cesium—10 times Japan’s ceiling of 100 becquerels per kilo in food. It was the second-highest amount found in a sea bass since the disaster occurred.

Shutdown? US opens drone facility in Germany

When Snowden’s leaks were first revealed, German Chancellor Angela Merkel claimed that she learned of the US surveillance programs through press reports.

It came to light that Germany’s BND intelligence service sends “massive amounts” of intercepts to the US and UK daily. Such revelations sparked a wave of protests across Germany calling on the government to provide more privacy and stop US spying activities.

As two new US ‘Hunter’ drones are set to start traversing German airspace next Monday, the army remains firm that they will be used solely for training drone operators rather than spying purposes, and will not be carrying weapons.

Who ordered to attack Russian diplomat in the Netherlands?

Last weekend, a minister counselor of the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands was attacked by unknown people in camouflage uniforms.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesman Alexander Lukashevich, the Russian diplomat was beaten, handcuffed and detained for several hours at a police station. The Russian President called the incident with Dmitry Borodin a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention and asked the Dutch side for explanations in connection with the beating of the Russian diplomat.

The Dutch Ambassador in Moscow Ron van Dartel was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation and given a harsh note in connection with the incident.

Forget the Government Shutdown – It’s About Shutting YOU Down

The government is red, the middle class is dead & they want us all dead

Americans are being treated to political theater at its finest. It’s not a theater of entertainment, however, but a coliseum of enslavement where in the world of deception, perception becomes reality. This theater requires audience participation, where we, the theater-goers, become part of the play. We are a truly captive audience, entranced into mindlessly choosing sides at the frenzied urging of the corporate media and partisan cheerleaders firmly seated behind the microphones and television cameras of the nationally syndicated media.

Dissolving the Make-Believe Matrix

These power crazed would be rulers don’t own the earth. They don’t own you and me. They don’t own all their stupid secret symbols. They don’t own the present, they don’t own the future. They don’t even own themselves.

They’re usurpers, in every sense of the word. And absolutely nothing to fear.

That these invading power freaks striving to control the world should try to lay claim to some secret knowledge and power source that is superior to everything else is a fraud. That they think they can bring on world changing events that result in national clampdowns and population reduction is their personal nightmare in the making.

It’s only true if we submit to it. Our validation and obeisance affirm their intentions. Without that it would immediately crumble into dust.

Russia blasts Netherlands over unanswered calls to tackle Arctic Sunrise activities

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has lashed out at the Netherlands for its failure to curb the activity of the Dutch-flagged 'Arctic Sunrise' Greenpeace vessel, following Amsterdam’s announcement that it’s taking legal action against Moscow.

On Friday, the Netherlands’ signaled it was taking Russia to an international maritime dispute court to challenge the legality of “Arctic Sunrise” seizure by Russia’s law enforcers. The Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans also said that he would use his diplomatic channels to try and get the 30 detained Greenpeace activists free.

Moscow slammed the Netherlands for not having intervened in the situation earlier.

Fukushima's radiation leakages are out of control: deadly radiation found near Tokyo [children tested positive]

Children tested positive on radioactive cesium... This is the stuff that kills people. The real deal. It's happening now.

Prefecture of Ibaraki, Japan.
EDIS Number: ED-20131003-41139-JPN
N 35° 57.085, E 139° 58.523

This is a school 50 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, in a city called Moriya. A local citizens' group recently carried out examinations on 85 children under the age of 18 and found out that 58 of them, or 70 percent had radioactive cesium in their urine samples.

The kind of cesium detected is a fission product formed in nuclear power plants. Members of the group say there's a high chance the cesium entered the children's bodies after eating food contaminated with radioactive material. While the nuclear concerns spread throughout Japan, the Tokyo Electric Power Company is trying to contain radioactive leaks at the crippled
Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.

Humanity is Waking Up to the Intelligence of Nature

There’s a heightening level of awareness within the human race with regards to nature and all that is contained within it.

Everything from the discoveries of the rudiments of language in monkeys, metacognition in dolphins, self-awareness of elephants, the ability for animals to tell “right” from “wrong”, to the creation and extension of the bills of rights for animals and plants by countries such as Switzerland and Ecuador, as well as the acknowledgment of dolphins as being non-human persons.

There’s a growing awareness by humanity that nature and its inhabitants are not as primitive and simple as it may have been believed to be the case in the past. With this growing awareness, comes growing understanding of the unity that humanity has with the environment within which it exists. This sense of unity with nature is not something new and indeed has been the primary position of awareness for many societies in existence before their industrialization.

Radioactivity found by Pennsylvania Fracking Wastewater

Researchers have found high levels of radioactivity, salts, and metals in water and sediment located downstream from a treatment facility which processes fracking waste-water from oil and gas production sites in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus shale formation.

A Duke University team analyzed water and sediment samples from the Josephine Brine Treatment Facility in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, finding radium levels 200 times greater than samples taken upstream from the plant and far higher than what’s allowed under the Clean Water Act.

Radium is a radioactive metal that can cause diseases like leukemia and other ill-health effects if one is exposed to large amounts over time.

30 Percent of The World's Food Supply Is Wasted Every Year

Loss and wastage occurs on all steps in the food supply chain.

In low-income countries, most loss occurs during production, while in developed countries much food -- about 100 kilograms (220 lb) per person and year -- is wasted at the consumption stage. International agencies claim to cater to the world hunger, yet fully one-third of all food produced globally -- a staggering 1.3 billion tons -- is lost or wasted every year, a study by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization found.

The impact of food waste is not just financial. Environmentally, food waste leads to an exagerrated use of chemicals such as fertilizers and pesticides; more fuel used for transportation; and more rotting food.

From Indigo to Crystaline

Indigo and Crystal children not only behave and think differently to their predecessors, they are spiritually different. Their subtle bodies are more developed, and they are "wired" differently.

Because they represent the next step in human evolution, they carry within their auras the seed of an important new energy that is birthing on our planet.

It is well known by science that every human has much brain and DNA capacity that is not used, or for which they can find no use. This "extra" DNA is even referred to as "junk" DNA. However, it is not "junk" or "spare" capacity, it is innate human potential waiting to be activated.

Apocalypse Programming

Zen Gardner

There’s lot going on right now with all of these frantic so-called “preparedness” drills. With government closing and the lights in Washington going out you can’t help but wonder.

And what comes to mind? The many end of the world scenarios we’ve had pumped at us from birth, sensationalized heavily by “special effects” frenzied Hollywand.

Do they really know something? Or is this just more fear programming to gain a tighter grip on humanity. Or is it both?

Gunmen attack Russia's Embassy in Tripoli

The Russian embassy in Tripoli, Libya, has come under fire and there were attempts to get into Russia’s diplomatic compound, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

There has been an incident in Tripoli tonight, in which there was shelling and attempts to enter the territory of the Russian Embassy in this country,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich told RT.

Anonymous claims link between iPhone 5S TouchID and US gov biometric database

Hacktivist group Anonymous has released a video and accompanying evidence which claims that Apple's TouchID technology has strong links to the NSA and FBI, as well as a massive biometric database the US government is building.

The group alleges that it has discovered a "corrupt alliance of Department of Defense Contractors, NSA and CIA connected venture capital" which led to the development of the technology, and Apple's subsequent purchase of it.

The presented findings are based on investigations by jailed and gagged journalist Barrett Brown, the video says, and the group has provided links to accompanying evidence on Pastebin.

New Gun Lets Police Shoot And Capture Your DNA

A frightening new weapons technology will let police and others tag people and identify them through DNA.

The High Velocity DNA Tagging System consists of special guns that will allow police to tag and trace others.

The system works like this: A shooter fires a pellet into a person; the pellet contains a special synthetic DNA that enters the blood stream; police or anybody else can later test the person to see if it is the correct individual.

Radioactive Bluefin Tuna Caught Off California Coast

Every bluefin tuna tested in the waters off California has shown to be contaminated with radiation that originated in Fukushima. Every single one.

Over a year ago, in May of 2012, the Wall Street Journal reported on a Stanford University study. Daniel Madigan, a marine ecologist who led the study, was quoted as saying, “The tuna packaged it up (the radiation) and brought it across the world’s largest ocean. We were definitely surprised to see it at all and even more surprised to see it in every one we measured.”

Another member of the study group, Marine biologist Nicholas Fisher at Stony Brook University in New York State reported, “We found that absolutely every one of them had comparable concentrations of cesium 134 and cesium 137.”

Rule Cyber-Britannia: MoD to recruit hundreds of IT warriors for cyber task force

Britain’s Defense Ministry has announced it is creating a military cyber unit and has welcomed tech-savvy hackers to consider taking the Queen’s virtual shilling in a recruitment drive starting October.

The UK is channeling part of its military budget on recruiting hundreds of computer experts to constitute the new Joint Cyber Reserve Unit, the country’s Defense Secretary, Philip Hammond, announced Sunday.

For the first time, the UK’s would-be cyber warriors will be tasked with offensive missions.

"In response to the growing cyber threat, we are developing a full-spectrum military cyber capability, including a strike capability, to enhance the UK's range of military capabilities," AFP reported Hammond as saying.

Anti-monarchy protest in Spain

Thousands of Spaniards have taken to the streets of the capital to protest against the country’s monarchy.

The march was held on Saturday in Madrid, where people called for the abdication of King Juan Carlos, an end to the monarchy and an establishment of a republic.

Protesters walked with banners reading, “Checkmate to the King,” and chanted, “Tomorrow, Spain will be a Republic.”

Critics consider the monarchy to be illegal since it was appointed by General Francisco Franco.

How Human Brains Could Be Hacked

Like computers, human brains may be vulnerable to hackers. Technology is already allowing scientists to read people's thoughts and even plant new ones in the brain.

The latest episode of the Science Channel's "Through the Wormhole," hosted by Morgan Freeman, explores the potential — and dangers — of hacking the mind. The episode premieres (July 3) at 10 p.m. ET.

"We live a world of data," Freeman says in the show. "One day soon, our innermost thoughts may no longer be our own." [Super-Intelligent Machines: 7 Robotic Futures]

When the banks drive us into poverty, what is the solution?

Kick 'm out. Yes we can.. Iceland did it. They chose democracy & human rights over banks interest.

Iceland is free. The people of Iceland are free from austerity measures or interestpayments. And it will remain so, so long as her people wish to remain autonomous of the foreign domination of her would-be masters — in this case, international bankers.

The government of Iceland has forgiven the mortgage debt for much of its population. This nation chose a very different way of stopping the crisis from the rest of European countries. It decided to hear the requests of the population and to put politicians and bankers on the bench of the accused three years after their financial excesses would sank one of the most prosperous economies in 2008.

Whistleblower Reveals U.S. State Dept. Ships Arms Directly to al-Qaeda

A former CIA gun runner revealed that the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, was killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in order to cover up the U.S. State Department’s direct arm shipments to al-Qaeda.

William Robert “Tosh” Plumlee started his career as a CIA contract pilot in the late 1950s, delivering guns and ammunition on behalf of the agency to Fidel Castro.

Plumlee confirmed that such arm deals are still common today, with the State Dept. shipping arms to al-Qaeda via the CIA.
During an interview with Alex Jones, Plumlee pointed out that Pat Smith, the mother of an information management officer also killed during the Benghazi attack, received little information from the Obama administration about her son’s murder.

Scientists Create Massive Catalog of More Than 300,000 Nearby Galaxies

Scientists are getting a little help when it comes to exploring the universe. More than 83,000 volunteer citizen scientists have helped to catalog more than 300,000 nearby galaxies.

Named Galaxy Zoo 2, the project is the second phase of a crowdsourcing effort to help categorize the galaxies in our universe.

Crowdsourcing is becoming a new and useful tool for scientists. While computers are good at automatically measuring properties such as the size and color of galaxies, they're unable to tackle more challenging characteristics. For example, computers have a hard time determining the shape and structure of galaxies. That's where citizen scientists come in.

Obamah's supported jihadists are killing Christians all over the World

Over the past couple of days, we have witnessed some absolutely horrific examples of Islamic terror groups specifically targeting Christians and those from other non-Muslim religions.

Sadly, this is not a new phenomenon.  Radical Islamic jihadists are constantly attacking churches and slaughtering Christians all over the planet.  The recent events in Pakistan, Kenya and Egypt may have taken this persecution to a new level, but this is just the continuation of a trend that has been building for years.

Unfortunately, Barack Obama does not seem too concerned about Islamic terrorism.  In fact, he specifically directed that “all references to Islam” be removed from terrorism training materials that the federal government uses.  If that wasn’t bad enough, now Obama is actually supplying weapons to the radical jihadist rebels that want to take over Syria, and he appears to be very ready to use the U.S. military to attack the Assad regime directly if “negotiations” with the Syrian government fail.

You’ve Been Warned: Why You Need to Be Ready for Total Grid Failure

Ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances are always the victims. Guess what?
The government is NOT coming  to save you. If you fail to prepare, you're preparing to failure.

If you haven’t been in a bubble cut off from all forms of media lately, it would be impossible to have missed all of the warnings being issued about the impending loss of our electrical grid.

This isn’t just coming from so-called “gloom and doom” sites or from alternative media.  Major mainstream media sources such as ABC News, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and CBS News have all issued the alerts. Unfortunately, the hordes seem to be brushing these warnings off as something that cannot happen, because the reality is too unpleasant to even contemplate.  Many seem to think that they are far better to stick their heads in the sand and be assured it can never happen than to prepare ahead of time.

Up to 146 million risk poverty if EU’s austerity drags on

As EU countries battle the financial crisis with austerity, average citizens get hurt while unemployment rises and social programs disappear.

Up to 146 million Europeans are at risk of falling into poverty by 2025, the head of Oxfam’s EU office told RT.

If the damage being inflicted by the European Union’s austerity measures is not reversed, the number of people trapped in poverty will increase by up to 25 million people. If that is the case, Europe will be facing a “lost decade,” leading philanthropy organization Oxfam revealed in its new report.
