Extended Minds: The Mental Fields Within & Beyond Our Brains

We have been brought up to believe that our minds are inside our heads, that mental activity is nothing but brain activity. Instead, I suggest that our minds extend far beyond our brains; they stretch out through fields that link us to our environment and to each other.

Mental fields are rooted in brains, just as magnetic fields around magnets are rooted in the magnets themselves, or just as the fields of transmission around mobile phones are rooted in the phones and their internal electrical activities. As magnetic fields extend around magnets, and electromagnetic fields around mobile phones, so mental fields extend around brains.

Mental fields help to explain telepathy, the sense of being stared at and other widespread but unexplained abilities. Above all, mental fields underlie normal perception. They are an essential part of vision.

Aging reversal coming soon?

Mice have become the first creatures to experience the ‘Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ for real, as Australian and American scientists have managed to literally reverse their ageing process. And they say humans could be next in line.

The discovery is centered on a compound that is like a youth elixir, targeting and reversing muscle aging, building up muscle tone and reducing inflammation and giving mice more energy – as if they have been working out in the gym. Likewise, resistance to insulin was targeted, adding diabetes to an already impressive list of age-related diseases that could soon be fought, like neurodegenerative conditions and cancers.

The resulting research was published in the journal Cell on December 20.

Why Staying In Tune With The Earth’s Pulse Is Key To Our Well Being

The law of biogenesis states that life cannot be created from nothing, it is always life that creates life. This profound statement can begin a series of questions into the scientific unknown relating to who or what created human life.

Omne vivum ex vivo – all life is from life

In 1952 German physicist Professor W.O.Schumann of the Technical University of Munich began attempting to answer whether or not the earth itself has a frequency –a pulse. His assumption about the existence of this frequency came from his understanding that when a sphere exists inside of another sphere there is an electrical tension that is created.

“High Likelihood” Of Life Beyond Our World: U.S Congress Assembles To Discuss Extraterrestrial Life

Experts from NASA, MIT and the Library of Congress have recently testified in front of the United States Congress House Committee on Science, Space and Technology about the ‘high likelihood’ of life in our galaxy as well as neighboring ones.(1

The House Committee on Science, Space and Technology oversees the most prominent public science agencies, such as NASA, the National Weather Service and the National Science Foundation. According to the collective opinions of three of the country’s top space scientists, it may be microbiol, and it may also be intelligent extraterrestrial life. Whatever the case may be, it probably and most likely exists, according to these three participating experts:

  • Dr. Mary Voytex, a Senior Scientist for Astrobiology, Planetary Science  Division at NASA
  • Dr. Sara Seager, Professor of Physics and Planetary Science, MIT
  • Dr. Steven Dick, Baruch S. Blumberg Chair of Astrobiology, John W. Kluge Center, Library of Congress

After 12 yrs of occupation, Afghanistan sets record for growing Opium

After 12 years of occupation by U.S. military forces, Afghanistan set a record for growing opium poppies in 2013, according to newly released data from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Opium poppy cultivation in Afghanistan reached a sobering record high in 2013,” said the UNODC. “According to the 2013 Afghanistan Opium Survey, cultivation amounted to some 209,000 hectares, outstripping the earlier record in 2007 of 193,000 hectares, and representing a 36 per cent increase over 2012.”

In fact, according to the latest worldwide data on opium-poppy cultivation, Afghanistan dedicates more land to the cultivation of opium poppies than all of the rest of the world combined.

International Space Station coolant leak has caused a shutdown of some systems

The International Space Station has been forced to shut down many of its systems after a coolant leak.

NASA has confirmed the station is having problems with its coolant system due to a faulty valves. Early reports of the difficulties appeared in tweets from the station's crew and support staff.

The crew are struggling to restore pressure to the coolant system that keeps the vital systems, including life-support, at a regular temperature. This can vary wildly depending on whether the space station is in sunlight or in the Earth's shadow.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Eight-year-old Widlene Gabriel has lived nearly half her life in a camp for the hundreds of thousands of people displaced by the devastating January 2010 earthquake in desperately poor Haiti.

As the fourth anniversary of the disaster approaches, more than 170,000 Haitians are still living in makeshift housing, in extremely precarious conditions and sometimes facing eviction.

Widlene and her family live in a tent on a private lot along a main road linking the capital Port-au-Prince to the eastern suburb of Petionville.

Homo Sapiens Subspecies Existed 400,000 Years Ago on Earth

The 400,000 year-old Denisova hominin thigh bone found in Spain.

Our Ancient History Constantly Changing?

In a paper in the journal Nature, scientists reported December 4th that they had retrieved ancient human DNA from a fossil dating back about 400,000 years. Why is this amazing?

Firstly because the previous record was of 100,000 years and secondly because the retrieved DNA does not belong to a forerunner of Neanderthals, as previously thought. The fossil, a thigh bone found in Spain, closely resembles the DNA of a cryptic subspecies of Homo Sapiens, known as Denisovans.

Until now, the oldest remnants of Denisovans have been discovered in a cave in Siberia and have been dated to be 41,000 year old. The DNA was retrieved from a finger bone fragment of a juvenile female.

Food banks start small gardens to grow fresh produce for needy, how to start your own

Food banks or food pantries are non-profit charitable organizations that find ways to collect, store and distribute free food to the truly needy.

Most who help out are volunteers, and their funding depends largely on the government, non-government foundation grants, businesses and individual donations. Matching grant funds to individual donations are common.

The first food bank in the world was St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance in Arizona, founded by retired business man John van Hengal in 1967 and still strong today. While volunteering at St. Vincent's soup kitchen, John met a woman who came often and told him that she depended on the soup kitchen and supermarket dumpsters to survive.

Ancient City Discovered Underwater Solves Enigma That Puzzled Egyptologists For Years

Head of a colossal statue of red granite (5.4 m) representing the god Hapi, which decorated the temple of Heracleion. The god of the flooding of the Nile, symbol of abundance and fertility, has never before been discovered at such a large scale, which points to his importance for the Canopic region.

An ancient Egyptian city found 6.5 km off of modern Egypt’s coastline reveals fascinating relics of Heracleion, also known as Thonis.

The city’s ruins are located in Abu Qir Bay, originally existing near Alexandria, 2.5 km off the coast. Heracleion’s ruins span an area that is 11km by 15km – deservedly so considering the classical tale of Heracleion which was said to be a prosperous, brilliant, thriving city before it was engulfed by the sea around 1,500 years ago.

The ruins were first discovered by Franck Goddio using his unique survey-based approach that utilizes the most sophisticated technical equipment. In cooperation with the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, Oxford’s Centre for Maritime Archaeology and the Department of Antiquities of Egypt, Franck was able to locate, map and excavate several parts of the city.

The Dalai Lama Responds to the Passing Away of Nelson Mandela

His Holiness the Dalai Lama repsonds to the passing away of Nelson Mandela during his talk in New Delhi, India on December 6, 2013.

Nelson Mandela past away.
What I feel. And of course I know him.
And with the loss of a friend, then I really admire him,
his commitment about non-violence he truly -I think- could follow of
Mahatma Ghandi like Martin Luther King really seriously this is important.
Ghandi's non-violence principal
So I'm one of the admirers.
Now all of his admirers at this moment (...) demoralised
this sadness must translate into full enthousiasm, full determination and
we must carry his spirit rather his physical is here not.

His spirit through generations and generations must live,
so we have a responsablilty...

Second Solar System Detected

A team of astrophysicists at the German Aerospace Center, together with European colleagues, has discovered the most extensive planetary system to date, with striking similarity to our own Solar system! Seven planets circle the star KOI-351 – more than in other known planetary systems.

They are arranged in a similar fashion to the eight planets in the Solar System, with small rocky planets close to the parent star and gas giant planets at greater distances. Although the planetary system around KOI-351 is packed together more tightly, it provides an interesting comparison to our cosmic home.

Technocracy is failed mind control

Whether we know it or not, like it or not, want it or not, we are engaged in a struggle, and that struggle concerns the human spirit—understanding it, experiencing it, defending it against attacks.

The spirit isn’t some vague ghost or apparition. It’s front and center, even in this blind world. It animates action. It has great power. It defies reduction.

The spirit proliferates thought and vision. It doesn’t settle for simplistic harmonies that short-circuit its inventions. It isn’t a happy-happy rainbow. It isn’t a child’s fairy tale.

In articles about my collection, The Matrix Revealed, I’ve stressed, over and over, that human thought originates in a non-material sphere. A sphere outside conventional energy and space and time.

Police In Thailand Lay Down Vests

In a stunning turn of events today in Thailand, riot police yielded to the peaceful protesters they were ordered to harass and block.

The police removed barricades and their helmets as a sign of solidarity.

The protesters explain that their goal is to destroy the political machine of former  Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is accused of widespread corruption and abuse of power. Thaksin’s sister, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, is currently in power, and is seen as a puppet of her brother.

The Illusion Of Matter: Our Physical Reality Isn’t Really Physical At All

Niels Bohr, a Danish Physicist who made significant contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum theory once said: “if quantum mechanics hasn’t profoundly shocked you, you haven’t understood it yet.”

Quantum physics has left scientists all over the world baffled, especially with the discovery that our physical material reality, isn’t really physical at all. “Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real.”  It seems philosophers of our ancient past were right, our senses really do deceive us.

Again, our physical material reality really ISN’T physical at all. The meaning, significance and implications of these findings within our quantum world have led to a plethora of ideas and theories, some of which lay inside the label of “pseudo-science.”

Let’s Help Light the Matrix

There are times, in my books and articles, when I talk about an external control system that many of us are aware of, and others are awakening to.

I ask readers to examine how we are socially and culturally conditioned, and programmed by messages that manipulate our emotions and base desires.

The obvious truth is that it benefits the system when we think what we ‘should’ think and do what we ‘should’ do. In fact, our adjustment to the system is so vital to its continued existence that a great deal of effort goes into exerting influence and control over our thoughts and beliefs and behaviors, either by soft suggestion, skilled trickery or hard force.

SkyJack: Hacker-drone that can wirelessly hijack & control other drones

As Amazon prepares to roll out package-delivering drones, the prospect of swarming tiny aircraft raises a new range of security issues. A US hacker has created a low-cost drone, which finds and wirelessly hijacks other drones.

Samy Kamkar was once convicted of creating the Samy computer worm that knocked out MySpace back in 2005. Now he is devoting his tech skills to legit cyber-security research. The drone-hacking drone is his latest creation, which may send a chill to those inspired by Amazon’s recent announcement that it will use small remote-controlled aircraft for deliveries in a few years’ time.

Quantum Entanglement May Link Wormholes in the Universe

Quantum entanglement is a part of quantum mechanics that Albert Einstein once referred to as "spooky action at a distance." Now, though, scientists have discovered that this phenomenon could be even stranger than Einstein thought.

They've found that quantum entanglement may be intrinsically linked with wormholes, which are hypothetical features of space-time that that in popular science fiction can provide a much-faster-than-light shortcut from one part of universe to another.

Mexican Government Releases Proof of E.T.’s and Ancient Space Travel

In what will soon be considered as the Holy Grail of extraterrestrial research, the Mexican government has released ancient documents proving the existence of E.T.’s once and for all.

Newly released Mayan documents, i.e. artifacts, dating back at least 1300-years reveal that the human race is not alone and highly advanced technologies including space travel have likely existed for quite some time.

Not only does this documentation released by the Mexican government show the existence of an explorer race, it may also reveal the roots of mankind.

70-year-old looks half her age, says raw food diet is the reason why

When Annette Larkins goes out with her husband, people often speculate that he had become involved with a younger woman. Other times, they ask him how his granddaughter is doing, referring to Larkins.

Little do they know that Larkins, a size 4 fireball of energy, is a 70-year-old woman. Dubbed by many as an "ageless woman" who discovered the fountain of youth, her secret is right in her own backyard. How does she do it? Simple: she's been eating completely raw foods for 27 years.
